Cheesy Scones

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups wholemeal flour(can use gluten free)
  • ¾ cup grated chedder cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 200g Natural yoghurt
  • 60g butter
  • Milk for brushing the top
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • Sesame seeds for sprinkling

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 200 C
  2. Can be made by hand or with a  food processor. Place flour, salt, mustard powder and baking powder into
  3. Food processor, add butter and cheese and process to combing. Add yoghurt and mix to a soft dough.
  4. Turn onto floured surface and roll out 2 cm thick. Cut out shapes with glass or round cookie cutter.
  5. Place on baking tray (greased or onto baking paper). Brush with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 mins. Transfer to wire rack to cool.
